Interestingly, this particular project called for around the clock preheating for a five-week duration for the tray ring fabrication. During that time, some internal repairs were also made to the vessel. At the completion of the preheating, the
entire vessel was insulated both in and out in the preparation for the stress relieving. Large sections of the Reactor were stress relieved and control zones for the heat cycle were set up throughout the vessel.
The entire project took six and a half weeks to complete working around the clock.
These complex node assemblies were destined for a North Sea installation. Once they were fabricated, these
massive structures required stress relieving. Due to Analytic's comprehensive understanding of offshore platforms, and our proficiency in stress relieving massive structures without compromising pipe integrity, we were able to accomplish this task without delaying the project and staying within budget constraints.
